- - Within the scope of Zero Waste efforts, a working team was formed to follow the process from the establishment of the system, its implementation, and monitoring.
- - Planning was done regarding what needs to be done before implementation to structure the Zero Waste management system in the most effective way.
- - Waste bins were installed in İstiklal and Merkez Campuses to separate and collect waste at the source according to their types.
- - A "Temporary Waste Storage Area" was created behind the Rectorate Building in the İstiklal Campus for the temporary storage of waste. Additionally, Temporary Waste Storage containers have been placed behind all our Faculty buildings.
- - Furthermore, a "Mobile Waste Collection Center" has been established.
- - Recyclable waste is regularly collected by the company contracted by the Provincial Municipality and taken to recycling facilities.
- - Monitoring studies are conducted at regular intervals regarding the implementation, and the waste sent to waste bins is recorded; our data entries are made into the EÇBS (Integrated Environmental Information System) approved by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization.
